Andy Luddington – (ABC) Level 6 Diploma in Arboriculture
Principal Arboricultural Consultant
Andy Luddington is a Principal Arboricultural Consultant at Treework Environmental Practice. He has twenty years of experience in the arboricultural industry. This included a period of nine years working in local government at Southampton City Council, Borough of Poole and New Forest District Council where he was responsible for managing council owned trees, making and administering tree preservation orders and tree work applications, consulting on development proposals and attending court as an expert witness. During his tenure at the latter, he received an honorarium for managing the tree department at New Forest District Council singlehandedly whilst the New Forest National Parks Authority was in its infancy in 2009.
Andy also has more than nine years’ experience working in the private sector and is professional member of the arboricultural association. He is a skilled consultant with experience spanning across surveying, consultancy contract management, strategic planning, and project management. Andy also holds a Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO) drone license and gained some flight experience with the application for trees.
As well as arboricultural qualifications from both the Arboricultural Association (Technician’s Certificate in Arboriculture) and Awarding Body Consortium (Level 6 Diploma in Arboriculture), Andy holds a BTEC National Diploma in Forestry, the LANTRA professional tree inspection certificate and the International Society of Arboriculture Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ).
