Ben on Tree Architecture Course

In late November, our consultant Ben Watkins attended the Tree Architecture Course in Epping Forest.

This two day Ancient Tree Forum course delivered by Tom Joye of Inverde explores the processes of tree growth and damage response, and how these can be read in the form of each tree, and applied to better understand the likely outcomes of damage and pruning.

Everyone from Treework who has attended this course has found it really thought-provoking and valuable.

Ben reflected on the course: ‘It’s not every day you are given a new lens to view the world of trees through; however this is exactly what the Tree Architecture course offers. A fascinating way to view trees and their development, with which to better inform pruning and care of trees at all life stages. For now though I’ll attempt to deepen my understanding of the subject matter as it wafts about my consciousness. An incredibly valuable and intriguing course by the Ancient Tree Forum set in the heart of Epping Forest.’
