We are delighted to have won the framework contract with the Royal Parks, as part of a panel of three Arboricultural Consultancy Companies providing Consultancy and Tree Surveys and as the sole provider of Veteran Tree Consultancy Services.
We first started working with the Royal Parks in 1999, when we undertook the Richmond Park Millennium Survey of Ancient Oaks. Since then, we have won the framework contract on all three tenders since 2005 supporting the Royal Parks’ management of nationally important, historic populations of veteran trees at Bushy, Greenwich, Kensington and Richmond Parks and providing expert public safety tree risk management advice.
We also work in partnership on innovative studies of the benefits of soil treatments to improve tree health and resilience to mitigate the effects of diseases such as Acute Oak Decline (AOD) and Massaria Disease of Plane (MDP).
Luke Fay (Managing Director of Treework Environmental Practice) said: “Royal Parks tree managers are dedicated professionals and, since our first involvement with the Royal Parks, over 15 years ago, it has been
our mission to provide our expertise to support them meeting their duty for responsible tree risk management in the context of high levels of public access and the need to maintain their nationally valued historic tree populations. I am delighted that we have the opportunity to continue this work.”
