Treework Environmental Practice has delivered the second phase of tree management surveys for Paragon Community Housing Group.
Paragon is an award winning provider of affordable homes and has appointed us to support them to meet their duty of care for public safety and to reduce nuisance to residents caused by trees.
We carried out tree surveys of Paragon’s extensive landholding, across 12 boroughs in the South East of England and provided budgeted work specifications for the ongoing management of trees.
By recording survey data in MyTrees, our tree management GIS software, our expert arboricultural consultants were able to provide clear and accurate information and respond quickly to enquiries.
The projects have been very closely managed, with Treework assuming responsibility for the management of the tree works contract and gaining the necessary statutory consents, with first year works exceeding £60k.
Phil Sinfield from Paragon said “It is reassuring to have one of the best tree consultancy firms in the business on hand to support the Housing Group and provide guidance for all of our tree-related matters.”
Our companies work closely together to maintain good management practices for trees, including development of policy.
Recently we helped Paragon to lead the way for other housing associations in providing a system that gives residents access to up to date information on tree condition and work status through their website. We are in a unique position to provide this support through our MyTrees partnership. See how this works at https://www.paragonchg.co.uk/whats-happening/tree-checker
Luke Fay, MD of Treework said “It is a real pleasure to work closely with such an innovative social housing organisation as Paragon. I am particularly gratified to see our expertise, regionally based consultants and investment in MyTrees has enabled us to provide the responsive arboricultural services needed to support Paragon during a period when the group is growing dynamically.”
